I've seen an episode and small tidbits of "Full Metal Alchemist" on cartoon network, and while the one episode I saw was a good one; the whole military thing was enough to put me off. Someone recommended it to me recently who wasn't an anime fan, and the reasons he gave for checking the show out were compelling enough. So when the opportunity came for me to get an anime boxed set, I decided to check it out. I've been checking it out all weekend. (With the exception of Friday night, when I went to see the Star Trek movie.) Needless to say I've been missing out on a great series. I especially like the Scar storyline, and the idea of chimeras and homunculi. I'm watching the FMA Movie now, and they got Nazis? I suppose it shouldn't surprise me, their supreme ruler WAS called a Führer. Since they have a term for combining organic lifeforms, (chimera) - and soul-less byproduced lifeforms (homunculus) - what's the term for what Al was? Perhaps "golem" may be a viable term.
