The Binewski Fabulon is based of the family depicted in Katherine Dunnn's "Geek Love", a story of circus freaks and the "norms" they encounter. The story is told through the memories and exploits of Oly, the second youngest. Who
is depicted in the bottom-left corner of the portrait.
Next to her is Arturo, the machiavellian schemer who establishes his own cult. Above and to the right are the twins Electra, and Iphigenia - quarrelsome siamese twins. Above them stand their father Aloysius, who masterminded his own freak-show by administering drugs and other chemicals to his wife during pregnancy. 'Crystal' Lil Binewski was once a crowd-drawing geek who now happily mothers her family. In her arms, she holds Fortunato - 'Chick' Binewski who seems in all accounts normal until his telekinetic powers are discovered.

Thanks! I was also fascinated by Arty as well. I drew this early on in the book. Chick's still an infant and Arty's not that muscled. I felt that the author meant for Arty to be a magnetic character to the reader. The book does seems to focus on Arty and his effect on everyone as much as it relates Oly's journey.
